Conformance Level
This website was built striving to meet level AA of the WCAG 2.0 guidelines, in line with the Israeli standard SI 5568 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.
Accessibility Adjustments Made
- Clean, semantic page structure with heading hierarchy for easy screen-reader navigation.
- Full support for right-to-left (Hebrew) and left-to-right (English) directionality.
- Alternative text and
aria-labeldescriptions for interactive elements and buttons. - High color contrast between text and background.
- Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Keyboard navigation and operation.
The Accessibility Widget
Every page includes a floating accessibility button (in the bottom corner) that opens a settings menu for personalizing your browsing:
- Increase or decrease text size (70%–200%).
- Text spacing — increased spacing between lines, letters, and words.
- Readable font — switch to a clearer, more legible typeface.
- Contrast modes: high contrast, inverted contrast, and monochrome (grayscale).
- Link highlighting for clearer identification.
- Heading highlighting across the page.
- Stop animations — disable motion and animations for users sensitive to movement.
- Enlarged mouse cursor.
- A Reset button to restore the defaults.
The accessibility menu itself is keyboard-operable (including closing with the Esc key and proper focus management), and the preferences you choose are saved in your browser and remembered on future visits.
